If you are interested in exploring one of the ATD Certification Institute’s credentials, be sure to attend one of the events scheduled throughout the conference or stop by the Certification Booth at ATD Central on the Expo Floor.

SUNDAY 

8:30–10:30 a.m. | CPLP and APTD Speaker Forum: A Conversation With Elaine Biech | Room 9

CPLPs and APTDs are invited to attend this special speaker forum event featuring Elaine Biech. Come hear about Elaine’s adventures writing her new book and participate in an open dialogue on trending talent development topics. Continental breakfast will be served.

Certification Lounge (CPLPs and APTDs Only) | Room 9

The Certification Lounge is available for the convenience of CPLP and APTD credential holders. CPLPs and APTDs are encouraged to use this room to decompress or connect with your peers.

This informational networking event is open to anyone seeking more information about ATD CI certifications. CPLPs and APTDs are encouraged to attend and share their experiences and answer questions. Light refreshments will be served.

 

MONDAY

1– 2 p.m. | Preparing for the CPLP Program | Room 9

Speaker: Sue Kaiden

You’re serious about the CPLP certification. What is the best way to prepare? Attend this session to learn about the various resources offered by ATD to help you prepare effectively for the exams. The speaker will cover the Preparing for CPLP series of workshops, including the online Interactive Guide, as well as the ATD Learning System and local study group options. Time for questions will be included.

 

3–4 p.m. | CPLP Certification: Question and Answer Session | Room 9

Speaker: Diane Daly

Interested in the CPLP credential program? We’ll review the requirements, fees, eligibility, policies, and processes to earn the CPLP credential. The session will be presented by an ATD CI staff member and will include time for questions.

 

5–6 p.m| Certification Networking Reception (CPLPs and APTDs Only)Plaza Terrace (Access through room 28E)

CPLP and APTD credential holders are invited to partake in good food, drink, and conversation at this reception. The event is open only to CPLP and APTD credential holders and ATD Certification Institute’s specially invited guests.

 

TUESDAY

10–11 a.m. | Stacking It Together | Room 9

Speaker: Holly Batts

Drawing from an extensive offering of content, resources, courses, and certifications, ATD has created a stackable career development framework to guide talent development professionals who would like to engage with ATD to grow their knowledge, skills, and abilities in a structured and progressive way. This enables a flexible and customizable approach and has a progression that allows practitioners to apply the knowledge and skills gained in one stack toward other stacks—saving time and money—now and throughout their entire careers. You will learn how to:

  • Define a stackable framework and determine what it can do for you.
  • Traverse ATD’s stacks and product offerings quickly and easily.
  • Build your own career development map using the framework.
  • Create an aligned workforce-planning roadmap for your team.

 

1–2 p.m. | Recertification Overview Session (CPLPs and APTDs Only) | Room 9

Speaker: Virginia Sawall

CPLP and APTD credential holders are invited to attend a recertification overview session presented by ATD CI staff. Participants will get the scoop on how the recertification process works and get answers to their most pressing questions. 


3–4 p.m. | APTD Certification: Question and Answer Session | Room 9

Speaker: Sue Kaiden

Come hear what it takes to become an Associate Professional in Talent Development, ATD CI’s newest credential for early-career professionals or those with a narrower focus in talent development. The session includes a brief overview of the APTD program presented by an ATD CI staff member, and will include time for questions.
