Mary O. Andrews, PCC
Mary O. Andrews is an Olympian, certified coach, and business owner. She believes every business deserves to have an extraordinary impact, a belief which is at the core of Play Big Corporate Coaching created by Mary and fellow coach Brian Conlon.
Mary taps into the language of Olympians for access to new possibilities and game-changing ways of thinking. Using a keen eye for performance improvement and the wisdom of professional coaching, Mary and her team elevate leadership beyond the experience of daily firefighting.
Mary has a master’s degree from Stanford University. She is president of Andrews Performance Corporation and holds the designation of Professional Certified Coach. Mary serves on the board of the San Diego chapter of the Exit Planning Institute, which assists business owners with all aspects of exiting their businesses and successfully transitioning to the next phase of their lives.
Charles Furman, PCC
Charles is the president and co-founder of the San Diego Leadership Institute, a Certified Executive Coach, a Vistage Chair, and the founding president of the International Coach Federation–San Diego Chapter.
Charles brings more than 25 years of hands-on corporate experience spanning both the private and public sectors across a wide variety of industries. He has held CEO roles and C-suite positions and has also served on numerous boards.
Charles earned a BS in organizational behavior and an MS in information systems from the University of San Francisco, as well as a graduate degree in banking and finance from the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington. Charles received his Professional Coach Certification training from the Hudson Institute of Coaching in Santa Barbara, California. Charles is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credentialed through the International Coach Federation (ICF).
Tamara Furman, PCC
Tamara is the CEO and co-founder of the San Diego Leadership Institute, an executive coaching, leadership training and development, and assessment firm that works directly with C-suite leaders and their teams to resolve their most pressing leadership-related challenges.
Tamara graduated with an MS in executive leadership from the University of San Diego and graduated summa cum laude with a BS in organizational behavior from the University of San Francisco. She completed her coaching certification at the Hudson Institute of Coaching in Santa Barbara, California and subsequently obtained a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential through the International Coach Federation (ICF). Tamara is a founding board member of the ICF–San Diego Chapter.
Tamara is also a Board-Certified Coach (BCC) through the Center for Credentialing and Education. She is certified in and authorized to administer, train, and coach on several assessment tools.
Steve Hansen, PCC
Steve works with leaders on executive and leadership development, strategic and systems thinking, productive communication, relationship building, navigating networks, and using influence to positively reach organizational goals.
He helps leaders reach insights necessary for success by enhancing what they do with an emphasis on how they do it. This integration of “doing” and “being” is what makes outstanding leadership possible. He supports and challenges leaders to search for new perspectives to respond to the demands of leadership. This moves the leader into action and increased effectiveness.
Steve has extensive experience coaching in Fortune 50 to mid-size companies ranging from C-suite executives to mid-level managers. He has coached in a variety of industries from global clients to companies in the private and public sectors. His industry experience includes technology, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, insurance, engineering, biotechnology, automotive, government contracting, construction, and telecommunications.
Portia Hawkins, PCC
Portia Hawkins earned a master’s degree in executive and professional coaching and organizational behavior at The University of Texas at Dallas, followed by a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential from the International Coach Federation (ICF). Organizations supported by Executive Coaching include Hartford Financial Services, Fidelity, Thumbtack, Johnson & Johnson, Deloitte, LYFT, Caterpillar, Merkle, Good Year, and Colgate. With more than 20 years of business experience and 15 years of coaching, Portia offers a rare combination of personal leadership experience and executive coaching education. She has built leading performance teams through effective communication, establishing a culture of accountability and implementing rewards and recognition. She excels at facilitating the development of exceptional leadership skills, strategy, team synergy, change management, performance improvements, employee engagement, and conflict management. Kim Higgins, PCC
Kim became a certified professional coach through the Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara and was accredited through the International Coach Federation in 2007. Between 2004 and 2016, she worked inside companies such as Taylor-Made, Adidas, Golf Company, Ford Motor Company, and Qualcomm in a talent development capacity.
Kim has successfully partnered with hundreds of professionals to foster and manage their career development through effective branding, tactical resources, and relational networking. With a focus on leveraging personal strengths and values, she helps individuals develop a strategic plan to manage their careers in a constantly changing professional landscape. Kim has also served in an entrepreneurial role and developed her own practice as a coach and career consultant, working with one of the nation’s leading outplacement firms. In 2013-2014, she represented the Rady School of Management as the MBA Flex and Alumni Coach, and has returned to support the graduate business students to optimize their job search success.

Jamie Latiano Jacobs is known as an entrepreneurial business advisor, executive coach, and impactful organizational consultant. Through her company, Catalyst Strategy Solutions, Jamie partners with entrepreneurs and executive teams to build strategic people road maps , meaningful cultures, and the HR/people teams that can help deliver them.

Stefano Olmeti, PhD, PCC
Stefano is a global executive leadership coach and consultant. He coaches executives and other change-makers to help them achieve positive change in leadership competencies, career management and transitions, and complex challenges. His coaching approach has been described as pragmatic, generative, impactful, and compassionate.
Stefano is the founder of Elm Leadership, a global coaching firm based in San Diego. Before that he was coaching director at the World Bank in Washington D.C., supporting global talent and career transitions; head of L&D at the European Bank (London); and a tenured professor of management in Italy.
Stefano holds the PCC (Professional Certified Coach) credential from the International Coach Federation (ICF) and has coached clients from more than 30 nationalities. He is a faculty member at USD San Diego and George Washington University (Washington, D.C.). His personal mission is to co-create greater leadership for the world.
