Proper design and development of content for interaction across multiple screens requires adapting your skills and building a foundational knowledge of responsive design. This hands-on workshop explores the methodologies, technology, platforms, and devices required to design and develop effective learning solutions that can be delivered on multiple screens. Leave with the skills and resources needed to ensure your learning solutions are accessible anywhere your learners are, effectively supporting their performance in the moment.

Strategy, media development, deployment strategies, and everything in between will be discussed in this series.

Technical Requirements: Participants will need to bring a laptop (PC or Mac) and a mobile device (Android phone, iPhone, or any tablet) to the workshop. It is critical to have the most up-to-date browser on your laptop. Google Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer 9 are all recommended.

The Mobile Learning Certificate will take place on May 17-18, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.

Learning Objectives

  • Incorporate the appropriate mobile learning opportunities into the organizational learning strategy.
  • Apply best practices and solid design principles to mobile learning development
  • Identify the differences between mobile web and a mobile app and determine the best option for your content and organizations.
  • Design maps, sketches, and wireframes for mobile learning
  • Apply a comprehensive process for designing a mobile learning application.
