3-2-1 Make It Stick

After attending a meeting, training, or conference session, are you prepared to respond clearly and succinctly when your manager or team member asks you about your experiences? Or do you give a typical “It was great!” response without any specifics? It can be a challenge to remember and apply what you learned, but having a few tools and techniques available to capture specifics can be as easy as 1-2-3! Join this session to practice using a reflection tool that will help you retain more of the information you learn. Note: Attendance for this session will be capped at 60 people and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Note: Due to popular demand, this session will be presented twice.

Learning Objectives:

  • Enhance your own personal learning ability.
  • Practice using a tool that has many learning applications.
  • Collaborate with peers on processes for using tools in various ways.

Shannon Davis is the talent development manager for MAREK, an 85-year construction contractor recognized for its deep commitment to growing people throughout operations in Texas and the Southeast. She has been a Forum member since 2018 and currently serves as a member of the Forum Advisory Group. Her team partners with leadership to design and deliver solutions that help them achieve their goals. She plays a key role in driving high organizational performance through attracting and developing exceptional talent.

Cherie Lucio serves as the director of training at Gant Travel. Throughout her tenure, she has played a pivotal role in the organization’s transformation journey. She has been a key contributor in building a high-performing team that relies on cutting-edge systems and tools to elevate skills and productivity. Her contributions extend to building the training department from the ground up and cultivating a culture of continuous learning. She has introduced knowledge base and learning management systems, which have streamlined knowledge sharing and facilitated professional growth within the company, and is spearheading the development of a unified and comprehensive onboarding program across the organization. Her passion for cultivating high-performing teams shines through in her dedication to introducing new capabilities and learning techniques, and is committed to excellence and adaptability in a rapidly evolving industry.
