In the spirit of our ATD Talent Development for Good Award, join us to celebrate and recognize organizations that leveraged talent development to make significant contributions to improve the lives of others, changed an industry or community for the better, or served society in a powerful way.
Our TD for Good stations will provide community service opportunities for all ATD22 attendees to give back to others and continue to spread the message of TD for Good.
Community Service Projects to Include:
Monday – A Gift for Teaching
A Gift for Teaching seeks to provide educational resources that empower teachers to inspire future leaders. They care for teachers and students so that learning can occur for all, which we know our attendees can get behind!
Stop by to assemble a school essentials kit which contains items like pencils, paper, coloring supplies and more. Our goal is to create 1000 kits!
Exhibitors are also invited to donate leftover materials from the tradeshow to A Gift for Teaching. Bins will be located by the Exhibitor Services Desk. Things like notebooks, pencils, books, technology items and other tchotchkes can be used by A Gift for Teaching to supplement supply kits and help teachers in the classroom. Please visit the Show Management Desk at Exhibitor Services to get a form and find out more.
Tuesday – Children’s Home Society of Florida
Today is all about helping the young child and the parents of young children! When you’re a new parent, it can be overwhelming, confusing and, sometimes a bit scary. The questions are never-ending! The Children’s Home Society of Florida’s Healthy Families Program is there to help navigate the rollercoaster of parenting. Through this free, voluntary program, parents receive support and guidance as they become the best parent they can be.
Stop by to create wooden puzzles which will be packaged up and provided to the Healthy Families Home Visitors to be used as teaching and bonding tools for parents to connect with their children and learn about their developmental milestones, age-appropriate activities, and more.
Wednesday – Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando
Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando is Central Florida’s largest nonprofit animal welfare agency. With two shelter locations, they rescue and adopt out over 7,000 dogs and cats per year.
We have two great ways to help support the homeless pets in Central Florida: stop by for a fun, stressbusting, cuddle break and bring along an old t-shirt from home and make a dog toy to send back to the shelter! By the final day of the conference, we have a feeling you might be missing home and benefit from a cuddle as well!
