The Post-Cognitive Brain: The Foundation of a 21st Century L&D Strategy

May 20, 2023
Learning Sciences
L&D is predicated on an outdated model that assumes we’re formal reasoning beings. While it’s an appealing proposition, it’s demonstrably false. If we hope to build a viable approach to thriving in the new economy, our approaches must align with what research reveals about how we think, work, and learn. In this session, we will explore five frameworks that represent major perspectives on human cognition. We’ll look at how our brains continually model the world, perceive context, and couple information with others, as well as how emotions affect our thinking. Then, we’ll explore the implications for L&D. Learn how L&D can adapt and significantly contribute to organizational success.
