Submission of a registration online, by phone or email, constitutes an official registration and intent to attend the Conference. Invoices are payable upon receipt, and full payment must be received to gain entry to the Conference. Please note that payments must be charged to Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover, or paid by check or wire transfer. Cash is not accepted, except where required by law.
You agree that, in the unlikely event that ATD cannot resolve a payment issue and you dispute the credit card charge, your electronic statement may be used as evidence that said charge is valid and just. Please remember that Conference fees do not include ATD membership fees. Any ATD membership fees paid as part of the Conference registration are subject to the ATD Membership policies.

Cancellation Policy
If circumstances change and you can no longer attend this Conference, you may cancel your registration by providing written notice to ATD Customer Care at customercare@td.org or +1.703.683.8100 or +1.800.628.2783 Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. ET. Our Attendee cancellation policy is outlined below.
Registrations will be fully refunded or credited to your account if you notify ATD of your cancellation in writing on or before 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday, March 17, 2023.
Registrations made from March 18, 2023 through April 7, 2023 will be subject to a cancellation fee.
- In-person (San Diego) registrations: Your refund or credit will be subject to a $250 cancellation fee.
- Virtual Registrations: Your refund or credit will be subject to a $75 cancellation fee.
Conference refunds approved by ATD will be issued back to the original payment form. Credit card payments will be refunded within 3 to 5 business days. ACH or wire transfers may take up to 10 to 14 business days.
There will be no refunds given for any cancellations received after April 7, 2023. This can include, but is not limited to, failure to attend the conference because of illness, alteration or rescheduling of the Conference by ATD, or due to events beyond the parties’ reasonable control, such as travel problems, natural disaster or weather emergency, civil unrest, epidemic, public health emergency (declared or undeclared), or an act of terrorism. For cancellations received after the cutoff date with a balance due, the registration amount remains due in full.

Failure to attend the conference does not qualify an individual to a refund.
Exhibitor cancellations and sponsorship fees are subject to different terms, as outlined in the Exhibitor Contract.
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT CANCELLING YOUR CONFERENCE REGISTRATION DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY CANCEL YOUR HOTEL AND TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS. ATTENDEES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CANCELLING THEIR OWN HOTEL AND TRAVEL RESERVATIONS. PLEASE REFER TO THE HOTEL CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY HERE.
Exceptions to Cancellation Policy: ATD recognizes that serious issues may arise that could prevent an attendee from cancelling within the established cancellation periods, including a medical situation or weather emergency. If you or an immediate family member (spouse, child, parent, or grandchild) contract a serious illness, sustain a disabling injury, or are in a location experiencing a weather emergency that prevents travel to an ATD event, please submit a request for an exception with appropriate documentation to customercare@td.org no later than 5:00 pm ET on Friday, May 19, 2023.
ATD will review special requests for refunds within fifteen business days after the conclusion of the event. ATD retains the right to request additional supporting documentation and will also determine if a refund will be given. Please note that ATD’s decision will be final. ATD will not issue refunds due to changes in corporate travel policies, travel carrier cancellations, or other unforeseen incidents or situations. Attendees are encouraged to consider purchasing personal travel insurance.
Visa Denials: If you applied for your visa for travel to the United States before March 17, 2023, and you are unable to attend because your visa was denied or you have not received a response, we will refund your registration fees. Refund requests for visa denial must be received within one week of the close of the Conference with accompanying documents showing a visa denial.
Substitution Policy
Substitution of registrations may be made at any time up to the Conference start date and, in certain cases, on-site. If the substitution takes place on-site, the substitute must bring a letter on company letterhead authorizing the substitution.
Due to the nature of the ATD Conference digital (virtual) program, substitution is not permitted for the digital program of the Conference once the platform is live and credentials have been issued. For ATD23, we anticipate opening the platform approximately two weeks in advance (around May 8, 2023).

Conference Cancellation or Modification
ATD reserves the right to cancel, alter, modify or reschedule the Conference for any reason, including because ATD determines at its sole discretion that the Conference cannot be held as planned. Should ATD alter, modify, or reschedule some or all the in-person portion of the Conference for any reason and still host the in-person Conference, your Conference fees will not be refunded.
As part of your Conference registration, most Attendees are automatically registered for and will be provided with access to the ATD Conference’s digital program, which may include access to various keynote events, education sessions, exhibitor and sponsor information, and digital networking opportunities.
In the unlikely event that ATD must cancel the in-person portion of the Conference for any reason, ATD will continue to provide access to the ATD Conference’s digital program; at ATD’s discretion, subject to additional terms and conditions, a portion of your in-person Conference fees (including any optional events) may be refunded, applied to a future event, or converted to a credit.
ATD also reserves the right to close registration when tickets are sold out.
For these reasons, registrants are advised against making non-refundable travel arrangements. Should you purchase non-refundable airline tickets or make non-refundable hotel reservations, you do so at your own risk.
