ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
Jonathan Halls
Jonathan Halls is an award-winning author & was recently named by GFEL in the top 100 Visionaries for Education in 2021. His books include Confessions of a Corporate Trainer: An Insider Tells All (2019), Rapid Media for Trainers (2016), Rapid Video Development for Trainers (2012), Video Script Writing (2014) & Memory & Cognition in Learning (2014). He is a contributing author to books including the ASTD Handbook: The Definitive Reference for Training & Development 2nd Edition (ASTD Press, 2014) & has written for publications like T&D, Learning Solutions and others.
Based in Washington DC, he focuses on coaching & workshops for trainers, and consulting & strategic support for learning managers & directors. He also runs workshops in digital media for learning & is an adjunct professor at the George Washington University. He has worked with thousands of people in some of the leading organizations from around the world.
With close to thirty years’ experience in media and training in 25 countries, he was formerly a learning executive at the BBC. Deeply committed to evidence-informed approaches to corporate learning, he balances deep skepticism of today’s easy fads with an excitement of how the world of talent development and training can help others become awesome at what they do and support organizations in their quest to improve talent. He’s been active in ATD for two decades most recently as a member of the advisory committee for ATD’s Capability Model.
